Message Sender:New in PowerSchool for 18-19
Use MessageSender rather than the gradebook for email to parents and students.
Changes in the way that PowerSchool stores guardian information necessitated abandoning a hack ITD created to show all parent emails in the gradebook. Now, only parents who have a PowerSchool Parent account are visible to teachers in the gradebook. The replacement is MessageSender, a modified version of SchoolMessenger. Teachers access MessageSender via a link the Navigation menu on the PowerTeacher Start Page.
